WHAT’S SO BAD ABOUT ABOUT BEING A PROTESTANT?

Mr. Joel San Pedro, an INC Minister bashed expelled INC Ministers in an article he wrote.  In his effort discredit their own Ministers, he called out the Protestants.  Wrong comparison!  Mr. San Pedro just showed his lack of knowledge of historical facts.

CAPTION FROM JOEL SAN PEDRO’S ARTICLE:

“These Fallen Angels sound very Protestant. No wonder God has no place for them in the Church Of Christ. Those who listen to people outside the Church will also end up outside the Church. If you listen to satan’s instruments leading you to no longer follow God’s will, can you expect them to bring you into God’s heavenly Kingdom?”

THIS IS HISTORY:

The Protestant Reformation was the 16th-century religious, political, intellectual and cultural upheaval that splintered Catholic Europe, setting in place the structures and beliefs that would define the continent in the modern era. In northern and central Europe, reformers like Martin Luther, John Calvin and Henry VIII challenged papal authority and questioned the Catholic Church’s ability to define Christian practice. They argued for a religious and political redistribution of power into the hands of Bible- and pamphlet-reading pastors and princes. The disruption triggered wars, persecutions and the so-called Counter-Reformation, the Catholic Church’s delayed but forceful response to the Protestants. (history.com

So, what’s so about about being a Protestant?

  1. Elisia….. are you SURE you will be saved just for merely having your name on a piece of paper that says “R2-01?” It takes much more. One has to be pure of heart (Matt 5:8). If you are an INC member who uses foul language, draws phallic symbols on Cutting Classes or posts pictures of a pornographic birthday cake, you are obviously not pure of heart. God has high standards. God does not like INC members who think they are better than others (including other members) because of their socio-economic status. You may find yourself next to them in front of the throne in the 2nd resurrection. Or you may survive the destruction (that includes those with the mark of the beast in Rev 13:16-17 and the other wicked) that happens immediately after Christ’s 2nd coming and wonder what happened (remember Satan is imprisoned for 1000 years), in which case you have time to repent; you’ll ask yourself why God allowed you to survive “Armageddon.”

Let us not forget the Unitiarian belief system (INC and Jehovah’s Witnesses account for about 13 million of them; there are others). There is something more to “Christianity” than Catholicism and Protestantism. I’m sure there are numerous who never heard of INC because we missionize mainly Trinitarians.

Please read Rev 7:2-3 and Rev 20:4. The number sealed will be 144,000 and those part of the first resurrection will be “beheaded for Christ”. Given that the 144,000 are not INC members (from the 12 tribes of Israel and Rev 14:1-4 states they are essentially male virgins), are they all going to the lake of fire? I think not.

Also, the Great Tribulation is in Rev 7:14 and it says those who come out will be in white robes washed with the blood of the lamb. These will be those alive in 1 Thess 4:16-17.

The second resurrection is 1000 years later. Please read Rom 2:14-16; this implies some inside INC will be doomed and some outside will be saved. We are judged according to the law. It is also quite clear that Rev 20:12 says the dead, great and small stand before the throne and the Book of Life is opened where they are judged according to their works. Rev 20:15 says those not found in the Book of Life will be cast in the Lake of Fire. Rev 21:27 says only those in the Lamb’s book of life will be allowed in the Holy City. Have you ever heard the story of the thief at the cross?
